Most of us know that we are daily assaulted by tangible toxins from our food, water, air, plastics, microwaves, cell towers, utilities, WiFi, screens, and pharma drugs, etc. We also know that the root causes of dis-ease are those very toxins. Getting them out, supporting and retraining our immune systems with biofeedback gets rid of dis-ease.
But, did you know that emotions are toxic too? We store emotions in our tissues, body systems, blood, organs, bones, and vertebrae. Dr. Motley provides an interesting article here and below is a copy of his simple list of organs, the emotions they store, and how they correspond to the Chinese Medical Body Clock. I will add that if you have a nonverbal person you are caring for, the Chinese Body Clock is an invaluable tool for figuring out issues.
- Lung – Grief – 3-5am
- Colon – Control – 5-7am
- Stomach – Care – 7-9am
- Spleen – Pensiveness – 9-11am
- Heart – Love – 11-1pm
- Small Intestine – Vulnerability – 1-3pm
- Bladder – Stuck, Paralyzed Will – 3-5pm
- Kidney – Fear – 5-7pm
- Pericardium – Emotional Instability – 7-9pm
- Triple Warmer – Anxiety – 9-11pm
- Gall Bladder – Resentment – 11-1am
- Liver – Anger – 1-3am
This is a fairly simple list and, after my personal experience, it goes so much further in depth, but this post here isn’t really to delve so much into that as it is to lead to you a resource which may help us detox from emotional trauma.
Biofeedback may be useful for detoxing those deep down, unrealized emotions that can cause body systems and organs to function below their optimum level. Emotions can even be causing our detox to be sluggish or be standing in the way of progress.
Just like detoxing the body, detoxing emotions may involve some ‘herxing’. I don’t know if it technically follows the true definition, but the slang of ‘herx’ typically refers to the physical discomfort felt at the beginning of a detox protocol, so you might detox emotionally. And, it can be quite strong for a couple of weeks, but once you get over that initial hump and because you feel so much better, the improvements allow better handling of the minor bumps in the road for the rest of the journey.
A side note to Moms. I know the life of auto-immunity, autism, PANDAS/PANS, Lyme/Co’s is so outrageously difficult. I know we have to reach to a crazy level of ‘saint’ to be able to get through most days, but believe me, our husbands are going through so many struggles too.
They are burdened with overtime or a second job to bank-roll out of pocket care. They are too frequently reminded they are unaware of the home routine minutiae, wrestle with the struggles of connecting with a-typical yet beloved children, and have nagging concerns for the future in addition to their own set of baggage from the past.
But, being the pillars of our home, Dads set the tone. Without my husband and his herculean effort, I would be cut off at the knees. He brings abilities to the table that I don’t have. He loves in a way that is essential to our well being and his children adore him, miss him, and need him. Of course they need me too, but I don’t fully complete the picture without Daddy.
Biofeedback helped free my husband of needless, old baggage that was only wasting precious mental/emotional energy that could be better spent elsewhere. It also helped with the anger, frustration, and feelings of powerlessness when coping with auto-immunity. He was able to shift his focus to the positive, towards acceptance, and moving forward with healing everyone.
You might consider doing this for your own husband and it is a fabulous gift idea that will possibly change his life and your family’s. Biofeedback is affordable, safe, and non-invasive requiring no absence from work since training can be done remotely. Packages are available at New Leaf Holistic.
