I am detailing my journey of recovering my family from disease. The current climate isn’t exactly favorable for my story. Writing about alternative medicine has moved past raising eyebrows to outright censorship despite its quantum leaps of success.
But my words are not newfangled. I’m just one wave from an ocean of professionals and patients who appreciate that organic foods, herbs, vitamins, minerals, botanicals, homeopathics, biofeedback and clean water keep us healthy. They create the immunized state that wards off disease.
Detoxifying was the major player in our healing and I suspect it would be for most. Sounds easy, but detoxing a body full of symptoms, infections, pathogens, and disease is complex; it’s definitely deeper than a smoothie. But despite severe, chronic, and systemic problems holistic, organic, herbal, and homeopathic approaches were our only successful avenues to recovery.
I am not a doctor and do not know your specific path for recovery. In our journey, protocols for similar issues were completely individualized and hands-down required me to return to school for an education and training.
What I will share is the good, the bad, and the ugly of detox; products, resources, information and tips that helped us. I’ll share practical recipes over on The Recipe Train.
When I recall countless sleepless nights plunging through articles, journals, books, blogs for support, I keep forever in my heart the steady comfort some of them brought. I hope The Detox Depot will be one of those resources for you.
